How JobMitro collects, uses and protects your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how JobMitro ("we", "us", "our") handles your information when you use our website and mobile apps (together, the "Platform"). By using the Platform you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
JobMitro is a job platform that connects businesses ("Employers") with people looking for work ("Candidates"), primarily for staff-level and blue-collar roles across India. You can reach us at contact@jobmitro.com.
We collect only what we need to run the Platform:
We do not ask for or store passwords in readable form (they are stored using one-way encryption), and we do not collect payment card details on the Platform.
Some optional fields — such as date of birth and gender — help Employers find suitable Candidates and help us show relevant jobs. Providing them is entirely your choice; you can leave them blank, and you can edit or remove them any time from your profile. Where you provide a date of birth, we may show your age (not the exact date) to Employers. We do not use these details for advertising and we do not sell them.
When a Candidate applies to a job or chooses to be discoverable, the Employer for that job can see the Candidate's profile details — such as name, city, qualification, languages, experience, skills, age (if a date of birth was given), profile photo and resume (if uploaded), and phone number where direct contact is allowed — in order to consider and contact them. Employers' public job posts (and public company details such as name, industry, city and website) are visible to Candidates. You control some of this: a Candidate can choose whether their number is shown for direct calls, and whether they appear in search. Details shown to an Employer always reflect your current profile, so editing your profile updates what they see.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data (see "Your rights" below). Some information may be retained where the law requires it, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information — passwords are stored using one-way encryption, uploaded files are restricted from being executed, and administrative access is protected. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to fix issues promptly.
The Platform is intended for people who are 18 years or older and legally allowed to work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Our apps request only the permissions they need — for example, internet access to connect to our servers; access to photos/files only when you choose to upload a profile photo, company logo or resume; the phone dialer to place a call when you tap a "Call" button; and notification permission (which you can decline) to send job and hiring alerts. We do not read your contacts or messages, and we do not track your location for advertising.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised policy.
